Grace Paley

Grace Paley (born December 11, 1922 in New York, August 22, 2007, Thetford, Vermont) is an American writer, poet, and pacifist activist for the American Friends Service Committee and the War Resisters League.

She was born on the Bronx in a family of Jewish immigrants from Russia. She had two siblings. Writings took place in the 1950s, creating mainly stories and poems. In Poland, a collection of stories from The Little Disturbances of Man has appeared.
