Henryk Hilarowicz Henryk Hilarowicz (born 1890 in Warsaw, died July 3, 1941 in Lviv) - Polish surgeon, professor at the Jan Kazimierz University in Lviv. Curriculum vitae

He was grandson of Hilary Nusbaum and the son of the eminent zoologist Joseph Nusbaum (from 1907 Nusbauma-Hilarowicz) and Rozalia from Głębocki.

He completed his medical studies at the Faculty of Medicine of the Lviv University and was permanently associated with Lviv.

Particular merit was made during the Russian invasion in 1914, as a physician in the Lviv surgical ward, and during the defense of Lvov in 1918-1919 as a physician of the third aviation group. In 1929 he was habilitated in the field of surgery, he was a docent and since 1939 a titular professor in the Department of Surgery of the University of Jan Kazimierz.

He has been a member of the International Surgical Society of Brussels (since 1929).

He was very good at practicing medicine, and his colleagues told him, "If I had to operate, I would have been hired only by Hilarowicz."

He sought pioneering operational solutions. He has published many articles in the field of surgery, including: Studies on blood sugar decline, Local anesthetic principles.

He was killed in a group of Lviv professors, murdered by the Germans (Einsatzkommando zur besonderen Verwendung, under the command of the Brigadeführer Karl Eberhard Schöngarth) on the night of July 3, 1941. Bibliography Authoritative control (person):
