Kazimierz Maurer


Kazimierz Maurer (born 18 September 1937 in Nowy Targ) - foreign trade economist, diplomat.

He graduated from high school. Seweryna Goszczyński in Nowy Targ and the University of Warsaw, where he obtained the title of Master of Economics in 1963. In his youth he actively practiced alpine skiing. He was the vice-champion of Poland junior in the special slalom in 1953. He started in the colors of Start Nowy Targ club.

He worked for PP Metalexport, CIE Impexmetal and other CHZ (as a Sales Director of BHZ Ursus) and at the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Maritime Economy. From 1970 to 1974 Head of Unit at BRH Polish Embassy in New Delhi, India. From 1978 to 1984 the Polish consul in Karachi in Pakistan (in 1979 he was elected Vice President of Pakistan Trade Commissioner's Community). From 1991 to 1993 Chargé d'affaires of the Polish Embassy in Accra, Ghana (he was in office to liquidate the Embassy in Ghana in October 1993). From 1994 to 1998, commercial counselor of the Polish embassy in Amman, Jordan.
