Olivier de la Marche Olivier de la Marche (born 1425 in Villegaudin, died February 1, 1502 in Brussels) was a burgundian chronicler, poet and diplomat.

In 1465, Olivier de la Marche was knighted by Count Charolais, the later duke of Burgundy Charles Zuchwawe, who, two years later, took over the management of Among (now Haute-Sane) and captain of his guard. During the Battle of Nancy (1477), he was taken captive. He bought himself, returned, and joined Maria, the daughter of Prince Charles, who died in the battle.
