Seedling
Pine seedling
Seedling - stage in the development of the plant following the seed germination, ie after the emergence of the germ (germ). The seedlings, unlike the subsequent stages of development, grow thanks to the nutrients accumulated in the seed. In the seedling seedling stage, the lateral root of the plant begins to grow in the soil, and from the bud grows young shoots reaching the surface of the soil. Depending on whether the germination is epigermic or hypogeic, the germplasm, or cotyledons, is carried over or under the soil. After the formation of the assimilation leaf and rooting in the soil, the seedling becomes self-sufficient.
