Termometr bimetalowy
Diagram of bimetallic thermometer
Bimetallic thermometer - a thermometer in which a temperature measurement is made using a bimetal thermometer inside a thermometer. The bimetallic element is two inseparably connected strips of different metals. Each metal has a different coefficient of thermal expansion, so that the element changes its curvature when it changes its temperature. The bimetallic system itself consists of a bimetallic or helically wound bimetal belt, depending on the size of the sensor and the measured temperature.
It is used for example in ovens with a transparent glass. In practice, these thermometers have low accuracy.
