Janusz Witt (born January 25, 1934 in Wieluń) is a philologist and germanist, activist for Polish-German and Ecumenical Dialogue in Poland. A long-term member of the international board of the Krzyżowa Foundation for the European Agreement, and now chairman of the Society of the Friends of the Cross. President of the Bonhoeffer Society of Poland, founded in 1996.

In the years 1951-1956 he studied German studies at the University of Wrocław. After graduation he worked as a journalist in the press of the German minority in Poland. Since 1963 he has lectured at the Department of Foreign Languages ​​at the Wrocław University of Economics. In 1996 he co-founded the Wroclaw "Neighborhood Respect", in which the Roman Catholic, Orthodox, Evangelical and Jewish parishes co-operate with each other, acting in mutual respect and respect.

Evangelical-Lutheran Church Member. He deals with the subject of multiculturalism and multifacetedness of Wroclaw and Silesia.

In 2008 he became Ambassador of the European Year of Intercultural Dialogue in Poland.
