(8338) Ralhan


<8338> Ralhan - Asteroid belt asteroid, the asteroid circling the Sun in 3 years and 142 days in the mean distance of 2.26 AU. It was discovered March 27, 1985 in Brorfelde by the Copenhagen Observatory. The name of the asteroid comes from Philip Ralhana Bidstrup (born 1979), a Danish physicist who received his Ph.D. in Copenhagen in 2008 based on a study of small space craft observations and observations. The name was suggested by A. C. Andersen. Prior to naming, the asteroid was given a temporary designation (8338) 1985 FE3.
