Enterprise Architecture - a collection of properties of a corporation (including a structure) that is capable of fulfilling its mission.

For corporate architecture, Enterprise is defined as an organization or set of organizations that have a common set of goals or common core properties.

This term also means a formal description of the structure and function of corporate components, the interrelationships between these components, and the principles and guidelines governing their creation and development over time. Corporate component is defined as any element of the corporation that is used to construct it. These can be people, processes, physical structures as well as information systems.

Corporate architecture is also associated with discipline, practice, or activity in the area of ​​defining, representing, and managing key corporate features. In this perspective, building a corporate architecture is not an IT project, but a complex set of organizational, management and IT operations.

At present, in Poland, the profession of a corporate architect is only beginning to be born. In order to accelerate its professionalisation in March 2012, the Polish Corporate Architecture Forum began work on developing a Code of Good Practice for Corporate Architects. On April 19th, the IT Forum of IT Architects presented the final version of the Code.

In November 2012, within the framework of the Polish Corporate Architecture Forum, work was started on the creation of an area model that depicts key concepts in the area of ​​corporate architecture, called a constellation of architectural concepts. Bibliography
