Herb Forestry
The herb is presented in a white (silver) coat of arms green trunk of a deciduous tree, from which grow two branches with green leaves. The black bird is sitting on the trunk.
The symbolism of the coat of arms refers to the origins of the Gozdnica, which was established at the end of the 13th century as a woodcut settlement. The oldest preserved urban coat of arms of 1633 depicts a woodcutter with an ax on the shoulder. Another, from 1800, already contains the same elements as the present coat, however, with a slightly simplified drawing. The pre-war coat from around 1930 was the basis for developing the currently used pattern. Bibliography
