Jan Jacob Coenraad Spohler (born 1837, died 1923) is a Dutch painter, son of Jan Jacob Spohl, also a painter. Little is known about his formal education. He was a pupil of Jan Willem Pieneman and practiced painting workshops in Amsterdam, Haarlem and Brussels. Spohler represented the classicist style. The influence of his father is clearly visible in his work, as he painted the landscapes of the Dutch countryside and the urban architecture. In his works, especially miniatures, you can see a lot of detail. Bibliography
