Marcelo Tosatti

Marcelo Tosatti (born 1983), Brazilian computer scientist; Linux kernel 2.4.x kernel maintainer.

He grew up in Curitiba, Brazil and worked for Conectiva for six years. In July 2003 he moved to Porto Alegre, where he started work for Cyclades Corporation.

The kernel has been updated since 2.4.16, November 26, 2001, at the age of 18. He raised a lot of controversy, initially with his young age, and then also very rare publication of subsequent editions, even those containing important security patches. July 27, 2006 Tosatti announced that since version 2.4.34, Willy Tarreau will take on the role of protector of the series.
