Yūsuke Kobori

Yūsuke Kobori (Japanese: 小 堀 佑 介, Kobori Yūsuke, born July 24, 1979 in Yotsukaidō) is a Japanese boxer, former world champion WBA lightweight champion (up to 135 pounds).

He started his professional career in February 2000. Two of his only failures were in the early stages of his career. On May 19, 2008, in his 26th round, he defeated José Alfaro's technical knockout in the third round and received his WBA World Championship title.

The championship belt was lost in the next fight on January 3, 2009, losing to points with Paulus Moses of Namibia. It was his last fight in the career.
