Demetrio Straticò
Demetrio Straticò was a Venetian general and diplomat.
In 1738 he was a Venetian ambassador in the Grand Duchy of Tuscany. From his stay on the diplomatic mission, he wrote Relazione estesa da me, Maggior di Battaglia, Demetrio Straticò l'anno 1738 del Granduca di Toscana.
When in 1751 a conflict between the Venetian and Dubrovnik resulted in the Venetians clearing the forests of the islands near Dubrovnik and the fact that Dubrovnik provided shelter to Berber pirates attacking Venetian ships, Gen. Stratico advised Venetian Providence, Girolamo Balbi violent gestures against Dubrovnik. At the same time, he was holding a nobleman and diplomat from Dubrovnik Ivo Bosdarii in Zadar. Bibliography
