Maya May (Russian Ласковый май) - Russian music band. History
The classic boy band, formed in the USSR on December 6, 1986 in Orenburg. The band toured from 1988 to 1991. The band produced disco style songs, similar to the Polish disco polo.
The first soloist of the ensemble was Yuri Gurow (d. 2012). Then he was replaced by Yuri Shatunov, with whom the group was most successful.

The band was famous for the fact that at the turn of 1989-1990 he was able to tour concurrently in several Russian cities. This was done by making a copy of your own team. Copies of the original band consisted of musicians similar to the original performers in terms of physical and endowed with similar voices. This caused a scandal in Russia, which led to the closure of the group.
