Wladyslaw Wyderka


Wladyslaw Wyderka (born 1891, died February 21, 1987 in Przemysl), pastor among Polish workers in France, Chancellor of the Bishops' Curia in Przemysl, canon of the Przemysl Chapter.

He was born on July 4, 1891 in Szebnia. He graduated from the junior high school in Jasło in 1909. He studied theology at the Seminary in Przemysl in 1914-18. He was ordained in 1918. He worked as a vicar in Haczow (1918-19) and in Przeworsk 1925-26. From 1926 to 1938. He worked as a pastor among Polish workers in France. He was an assistant to the Catholic Action. For 37 years he was a chancellor of the bishopric of Przemyśl (from 1939 to 1977). In 1947 he received the title of papal chamberlain. Since 1949 he was a canon of the Przemysl chapter. He was a synodal examiner, taught in French Seminary at the Seminary. In 1974, he received the dignity of the apostolic proton.

Buried in the main cemetery in Przemysl.
