Francis Foltyn
Franciszek Foltyn (born September 21, 1891 in Kończyce Wielkie, died June 20, 1945) - Captain of the Polish Army Reserve, teacher, brother of John.
In 1912 he graduated from Bobrk Teachers' Seminary. During the First World War he was an officer in the Austro-Hungarian Army. Taken to Russian captivity and sent to Siberia, he managed to escape. Within two years he walked two thousand kilometers and finally reached Poland.
He participated in the Polish-Bolshevik war. In 1922 he was reassigned to the rank of captain with seniority on June 1, 1919, in the corps of reserve infantry officers. In 1934 he remained on the records of the Powiat Complementary Command in Bielsko and had a mobilization assignment to the 4th Podhale Riflemen Regiment.
He was the head of the School of Cieszyn Seminary at the Cieszyn Seminary and head of the Cieszyn High School (now Primary School No. 1).
During the September campaign, he was taken to German captivity and imprisoned in the Oflia VIIA in Murnau. Sources and bibliography
