Rocky hole


Rocky hole (Latin Fossula petrosa) - recess on the surface of the lower pyramid of the temporal bone. It is located between the carotid artery and the cervical dorsal cavity. There is a lower back of the tongue and throat. The cranial nerve passing through the ganglion passes through the bottom of the tympanic cavity (apertura inferior canaliculi tympanici), which also includes the lower cranial artery (ascending branch of the throat).
