Rose for Ecclesiastes

Rose for Ecclesiastes - a collection of stories by Roger Zelazny as well as the story contained in this collection. The title refers to the biblical Book of the Covenant (from Ekklesiastes), tells the story of the religious fanaticism of the Martian race that is at death. The story was awarded Nebula, in Poland was translated by Bożena Jóźwiak. The story was first published in the November issue of The Magazine of Fantasy and Science Fiction in 1963 with a special cover by Hannes Bok. It was later included in the collection of The Doors of His Face, The Lamps of His Mouth, and Other Stories, published by Doubleday in 1971 (ISBN 0385082169). In Poland this collection was published in 1998 by publishing house Rebis under the title Rose for Eklezastes (ISBN 8371204817). This release corresponds to the extended version of the original, with the order changed. There is also an English edition of the A Rose For Ecclesiastes collection of 1969. story
