Alvin Miller
Alvin Miller is a fictional character, the main hero of the novel series and the novel of American writer Orson Scott Card's story of Alvin the Creator.
Alvin Miller is the seventh son of a seventh son. This means that he is an extraordinary character, endowed with a special, almost magical power. He believes that he is created to change the world around him. In subsequent novels, Alvin learns to have his power, knows the possibilities of his mind, and seeks his place in the world. Peggy is being sacked - a "gag", a person who sees the future paths of human fate, which later becomes his wife.
History in Alvin's world has been different from ours. The turning point was a different course of the English Civil War and the Lord of the Protector Lord, Oliver Cromwell, who did not die prematurely, but ruled until the late age, so that did not happen Stuart restaurant. The result is a different story of Europe, but above all America. In Puritan England, magic was eradicated and forbidden. In America, the land of Indians and colonizers, as well as Negro slaves from Africa, is still alive. The common thing is the "talents" - the magical skills with which people are born (for example, talent for straight line drawing or recognition talent or someone telling the truth). Alvin and the Indian prophet Tenskwa-Tawa (Brother Ta-Kumsawa, Tecumseh's equivalent of "our" version of history) are the most powerful talents.
Card, a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, created the character of Alvin, based in part on the life of Joseph Smith, the creator of this religion.
