Ewa Kulesza


Ewa Kulesza (born 12 April 1951 in Piotrków Trybunalski) - Polish lawyer, academic teacher, general inspector of data protection 1998-2006. Curriculum vitae

She graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Lodz. In 1984, she received her doctorate in law. In 1975 she became a research worker at UŁ. In the early 1980s, she co-founded the "Solidarity" structure at this institution. Since 1986 she has worked in the Constitutional Court, in the first half of the 90s she was managing the Municipal Social Assistance Center in Łódź. After the creation of the government, Jerzy Buzek was an advisor to the Minister of Labor.

In 1998, she was appointed as General Inspector of Personal Data Protection, the first of its kind. After completing the second four-year term of office in 2006, she returned to scientific work and became an assistant professor at the Department of Social Security Law and Social Policy at the University of Lodz.
