Isoterma Tiemkin
Tiemkin's Tiotube Isotherm is an experimental 2-parameter equation for the adsorption isotherm on a heterogeneous solid. This equation is especially popular in catalysis: a = A + B log p {\displaystyle a=A+B\log p}
where:
The Tiemkin equation is not a monolayer isothermal (not compatible with the Langmuir isothermal model). This isotherm corresponds to a continuous, infinite (unlimited minimum or maximum energy) distribution of the energy of the adsorption sites. The above assumption (unrestricted energy distribution) is unrealistic, as is the probability density constant for all adsorption sites. Tiemkin equation can be considered as approximating a more general 3-parameter equation associated with a rectangular energy distribution of adsorption, UNILAN isotherms.
