Rafał Skibiński
Rafał Skibiński (born December 12, 1953 in Gdynia, December 5, 1987) is a Dominican who is engaged in academic and disabled ministry.
He studied mathematics in Toruń, which he did not graduate since he joined the Dominican Order in 1976. After his novitiate in Poznan and theological studies in Cracow, he was ordained a priest on December 17, 1983. As a priest he was initially an auxiliary pastor in the academic ministry of "Beczka" in Cracow, and from January 1986 he became a pastor of "Barrels" and the Community of Renewal in the Holy Spirit "New Life". At the same time, he led the ministry of disabled people "Klika" and took care of "Mandragora", a group of young poets gathered around the Dominican monastery in Cracow. He organized exhibitions in the "Gallery at the Clogs". Every year he was also the guide of the Dominican group during the Cracow Pedestrian Pilgrimage to Jasna Gora.
He died in a car accident on December 5, 1987 in Spiš, near Białka, providing assistance to a disabled person. He is buried in the Rakowicki Cemetery, in the tomb of oo. Dominican.
