Rudolf Beer

Rudolf Beer (born February 17, 1911,?) is a Nazi criminal, a Schutzhaftlagerführer of the concentration camp in Ravensbrück and an SS-Obersturmführer.

He served in the concentration camps of Dachau and Auschwitz-Birkenau. From October 1941 to July 1944 he was the head of the women's camp at Ravensbrück. He brutally tormented the prisoners, sometimes with fatal consequences. He also relentlessly exploited their forced labor. He also served in the SS Division "Wiking".

In 1950, two cases were brought against Beer in front of the West German court in Stuttgart in connection with his crimes committed in Ravensbrück. The first was about murders and other atrocities committed against prisoners of various nationalities (especially Polish, Russian and German). January 19, 1951 Beer has been convicted of the above crimes for 15 years imprisonment. The second case concerned the murder of a Russian prisoner who was caught while trying to escape. This time Beer was acquitted. Bibliography
