Zenon Kononowicz


Zenon Kononowicz (born May 15, 1903 in Ustroń, Vilnius, Poland) was a Polish painter, graphic artist and teacher. Curriculum vitae

In the years 1918-1923 he studied in Ryazan, in the years 1923-1929 at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow under the direction of Felicjan Kowarski and Józef Pankiewicz, and in the years 1929-1933 in the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts. He earned his diploma at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw in 1933. He was assistant to Kowarski in the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow and lectured at the School of Drawing and Painting in Lublin and at the Liceum Sztuk Plastycznych in Nałęczów.

From 1953 he lived in Kazimierz Dolny.

He painted mostly landscapes and still lifes with flowers. He participated in exhibitions in Poland and abroad.
