Carlo Fatuzzo


Carlo Fatuzzo (born March 14, 1944 in Genoa) is an Italian politician, former MEP. Curriculum vitae

With an accounting degree. He also worked as a radiotelegraph in the Navy.

Since 1987 he has served as National Secretary of the Pensioners' Party. In 1985-1990 he was councilor of the commune, and from 1990 to 1995 councilor of the province of Bergamo. In the years 2002-2004 he was the secretary of the European Association for the Defense of the Elderly.

In 1999 he became a Member of the European Parliament. In the 2004 elections he was elected deputy for the second time. He sat in the EPP-ED Group. He participated in the work of the Committee on Employment and Social Affairs and the Delegation for EU Affairs with the United States.

As the leader of the Pensioners' Party in the 1990s, he was short of Silvio Berlusconi's ally. In 2006 he introduced his team to the center-line block L'Unione, but in autumn 2006 he returned to center-right side. In 2007 he joined his group for the People's Liberation Movement, then co-created the Autonomous Region. In 2009, he was unsuccessful in re-election in the European elections. Bibliography
