Electric fish
Electric eel
Electric fish - a general term for fish species that have the ability to produce an electric field or receive its presence and change. These fish are found in many unrelated systematic groups. Their body is equipped with electrical organs - enabling the production of electrical impulses for self-defense or incapacitation of a victim - or in electroreceptors to detect presence and change of electric field. In the narrower sense, electrical species are considered to be electrical organisms. Bibliography
