Heinrich Eisenhofer
Heinrich Eisenhöfer (born February 19, 1893, May 28, 1947) is a Nazi criminal, member of the Mauthausen-Gusen concentration camp and SS-Obersturmführer.
SS member with ID number 162304. He was a member of the Waffen-SS since September 1, 1939. A member of Mauthausen's staff from September 1939 to May 5, 1945. Eisenhöfer had various functions in this camp: he directed the training of future SS guards, He supervised the warehouses with the property robbed of prisoners and gold teeth torn out to the victims of the gas chambers in Mauthausen. In performing his duties, he cruelly tormented the prisoners. He has also been actively involved in executions.
After the end of the war Eisenhöfer was tried in the trial of Mauthausen-Gusen (US vs. Johann Altfuldisch and others) by the American Military Tribunal in Dachau and sentenced to death. The sentence was made by hanging in the Landsberg prison at the end of May 1947. Bibliography
