Maria An Linghua
Holy. Maria An Linghua (born 1871 in Anping, Hebei, China - died July 11, 1900 in Liugongying, Hebei) - feast of the Catholic Church, martyr.
Maria An Linghua was born in 1871 in Anping, Hebei Province.
During the rise of the boxers, there was a persecution of Christians in China. Maria An Linghua and her family (grandmother An An and Maria An Guo and Anna An Jiao) were arrested by insurgents on July 11, 1900. They were tried to force them to renounce their faith. Because they refused, they were taken out of the village and murdered.
The day of her memory is 9 July (in the group of 120 Chinese martyrs).
She was beatified on 17 April 1955 by Pius XII in the group Leon Mangin and 55 Companions. Named in the group of 120 Chinese martyrs on October 1, 2000 by John Paul II. Bibliography
