Jacek Dobaczewski
Jacek Dobaczewski (born 9 May 1952 in Płońsk) is a Polish physicist, specialist in nuclear physics.
He received his doctorate in physical sciences in 1979, doctor habilitated in 1991, and professor title in 1997. Member of the Physics Committee of the Polish Academy of Sciences and Honorary Fellow of the American Physical Society.
He conducts scientific cooperation with many world scientific centers. He was a guest professor. Institut de Physique Nucléaire, Orsay (France), Center d'Etudes Nucléaires de Saclay (France), California Institute of Technology, Pasadena (USA), Stellenbosch University (South Africa), Center de Recherches Nucléaires de Strasbourg of Tennessee and Oak Ridge National Laboratory (USA). He is currently working closely with the University of Jyväskylä (Finland).
His research interests focus on issues related to research in theoretical physics of atomic structure. He is the author of more than 300 original scientific papers, which received nearly 5000 citations (as of January 2009) and the Hirsch 38 index (from the h-index).
