Konrad O'Rourke

Konrad O'Rourke (born 1542, probably 13 August 1579 in Killmallock) is an Irish Franciscan priest, martyr, blessed Catholic Church.

He came from a noble family. He accompanied future bishop Patrick O'Healy in the monastery of Dromahair. In 1579 he returned to Ireland. He was arrested in Limerick. He was sentenced to a military tribunal without trial. He was probably hanged together with Bishop Patrick O'Healy on August 13, 1579.

Beatified by Pope John Paul II on 27 September 1992 in a group of 17 Irish martyrs.
