Vic Akers
Victor David Akers (born August 24, 1946) is a football player and football coach. He is now an assistant coach for Arsenal and Arsenal Ladies. In 2010 he was awarded the Order of the British Empire for his contributions to the development of sport in the British Isles. Football career
Akers was a left-back defender at Cambridge United and Watford Managerial career
After his football career, he started working in the Arsenal community. In 1987 he founded the female team of Arsenal Ladies. He led the team to a number of victories in the English league and to the 2007 Women's UEFA Cup.
