Burn-Proof
Burn-Proof - a technology developed by the Japanese company Sanyo to prevent errors caused by burning CDs or DVDs.
In the first years of development of burn disc burning techniques, errors were caused by data interruptions that were the result of other programs (the usual scenario was to turn on the screen saver). Burn-Proof prevents such errors by pausing the recording at a time when a data flow is interrupted and when the stream is resumed.
Prior to introducing Burn-Proof, a large buffer was used to increase the security of the recording process, although it did not eliminate the risk of errors.
