Lassi - Indian drink made from yoghurt, water and spices consumed for refreshment on hot days. Traditional lassi is salted and seasoned with chili. Nowadays, the sweet variety of this drink is flavored with rose water and various fruits (lemon, mango, strawberries). Lassi is also eaten in Turkey under the name Ayran (Ajran), and in Iran and Armenia as dugh and other countries in the Middle East, where it usually consists of yogurt, water, salt and sometimes lemon.
