Mark O’Shea
Mark O’Shea Mark O'Shea (born May 1956 in Wolverhampton, England) is a British herpetologist and lecturer, best known for his "O'Shea's Big Adventure" show on Animal Planet.
In his program he visits various corners of the earth searching for reptiles. The program is divided into four main series: America, Australia and Pacific, Africa and South America, South and South Asia.
In 1993, he was seriously bitten by a Latin snake named Crotalus horridus atricaudatus. As a result of this incident, he almost died.
Since 1996, Mark has been working in Papua New Guinea. He conducted various herpetological investigations for Operation Raleigh for Western and Central Provinces. He then joined professional hematology research, working with the best herpetologists at Central and Madang Provinces with the Oxford University Dept, Clinical Medicine.
