Nicolas Saint-Martin
Nicolas Saint Martin (born 10 August 1753, died July 12, 1823) is a Canadian police officer and politician in Lower Canada. Nicolas Saint-Martin was born in Trois-Rivieres in 1753. He volunteered for the British Army during the American Invasion in 1775-1776. In 1784 he married Marie-Louise. He was elected an envoy to the Lower Canada Parliament in 1792. The same year he joined the local militia. In 1812 he was promoted to lieutenant colonel and served in the war.
In 1823 he died in Yamachiche (Quebec) due to paralysis.
