Pop-Port

Pop-Port connector in the original Nokia headset HS-5

Pop-Port interface (original codename "Tomahawk") - this is the connector available on many Nokia phones. The connector consists of single metal pins on either side of the plug and a plastic slider with a row of thirteen pins.

This connector allows the transmission of signals, among others. for headsets and hands-free, and stereo to speakers or headphones. It also allows data transfer via USB. In addition, this connector provides power for accessories that do not have their own power source. Pop-Port is gradually supplanted by newer technologies based on a mini-USB connector for data transfer and "standard" audio connectors (4-port 2.5mm or 3.5mm minijack connectors). Use Pop-Port
