Andrzej Mazurkiewicz (1893-1968) - chemical engineer, graduate of Lviv Polytechnic, pioneer of scientific organization of labor safety in Poland. Scientific Director of the Central Institute for Labor Protection in Warsaw.
Contributed to the establishment of the Safety Section at SIMP.
He was born in Krosno in 1893 as the youngest son of Dionysius Mazurkiewicz and Maria Jabłońska h. Jasieńczyk. He was the author of many publications on occupational safety and health at work. He died in 1968
