The commercial register

Commercial register - type of public register. Commercial registers in Poland A separate article: National Court Register.

In Poland, the Commercial Register was established by decree of the Head of State dated February 7, 1919 together with the Regulation of the Minister of Justice of 22 April 1919 on the commercial register and was kept in the court of registration until January 1, 2001.

According to the decree of 1919, the Commercial Register was kept in the District Courts by the Registrar under the supervision of a Registrar. The need to create the relevant register was determined by the introduction of the Commercial Code of 27 June 1934. The Commercial Code introduced the definition of a trader as a trader. It was a natural and legal person. The Commercial Code makes a distinction between registered and non-registered merchants.

The business registry was divided into three sections: A, B and C:

Each registry section was divided into sections. Initially, the business register was maintained exclusively in the form of books, but later on, due to the development of computer techniques, registration data was entered into the IT system, but it was a system based on a local database - within a single registry court.

For each registered entity, separate records were kept, containing documents relating to the proceedings before the registry court in a chronological manner from the first registration.

The Commercial Register was closed on 1 January 2001 with the establishment of the National Court Register. Read about legal notices in Wikipedia. Authoritative control (catalog):
