Waldemar Tłokiński
Waldemar Zdzisław Tłokiński (born October 15, 1945 in Kamienna Góra) - Polish linguist and neurologist, professor of humanities, academic lecturer, rector of non-public schools. Curriculum vitae
He completed his studies in Polish philology at the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, where he was employed in the university library. In 1970, at the University of Lodz, he obtained his doctoral degree on the basis of his dissertation entitled Study on the Syntax of Contemporary Polish. He has held scientific studies in neurolinguistics at the Moscow University. In 1975, he was habilitated at the. Adam Mickiewicz in Poznań on the basis of the work Optimization of speech recognition in the aspect of the theory of experience. In 1989 he was awarded the title of Professor of Humanities. In the meantime he undertook medical studies completed in 1983 at the Medical Academy in Gdansk. He obtained his first degree specialization (1985, from neurology) and second degree (1989, from medical rehabilitation). He worked at the Department of Psychiatry and Neurology in Gdansk, dealing with the rehabilitation of patients with speech disorders.
As a researcher affiliated with the University of Gdańsk. He was deputy director of the Institute of Psychology (1987-1989), Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences (1989-1996), in 1995 he became head of the Department of Science in Poznan and Communication. In the years 1999-2004 he was rector of the Gdańsk Higher School of Humanities. He then assumed the same function at the Athens College of Higher Education in Gdańsk. He was a member of the Central Commission on Degrees and Titles, appointed to the expert teams of the Minister of Education and the Minister of Science and Higher Education. He specializes in issues related to applied linguistics, social and clinical communication, neurolinguistics and rehabilitation.
