Edgerton on the Ohio State Plan Edgerton is a village in Ohio County, Ohio, United States. The village was founded in 1832, and the present name was officially adopted in 1865 after the name of Alfred P. Edgerton. Currently (2014) the mayor of the village is Lance Bowsher, and the village head Kevin Brooks.

In 2010, 24.6% of the population were below the age of 18, 7% were between the ages of 18 and 24, 23.3% were between 25 and 44, 27.5% were between 45 and 64. , 17.8% were 65 years of age or older. In the village there were 47.3% men and 52.7% women.
