Tomasz Wylenzek


Tomasz Wylenzek (born 9 January 1983 in New Chechle) is a German canoeer of Polish origin, a Canadian canoe. Olympic champion from Athens.

In Poland, he trained in his hometown, then at the Wałcz Sports School. In 2000 he went to Germany (where his parents lived) and started racing in the colors of this country. In 2001 he won two medals of the youth world championship, a year later he was already a member of the senior staff. The gold medal was won in two (C-2) with Christian Gill at a distance of 1000 m. In the following years they have won a number of medals of the World and European Championships on different distances, including a few gold. In Beijing, they took second place on the crown.
