Zygmunt Machnik (born 10 February 1947 in Sosnowiec) - Polish politician, entrepreneur, MP for the 3rd term of office. Curriculum vitae

He graduated in 1976 from the Silesian University of Technology. He worked at managerial positions in various companies. In the 90s he served as mayor of Czeladź. From 1995 to 1997 he was the vice-governor of Katowice.

In the years 1997-2001, the mandate of the third term of office was held by the Democratic Left Alliance. In 2001 he unsuccessfully sought re-election, and in 2007 he also failed to stand as a candidate in the list of Left and Democrats.
