Alpine combination
Alpine combination - the Olympic ski competition, consisting of two slalom and one downhill runs, played by both women and men.
For the first time in the Alpine Skiing World Championship program, the Alpine combination appeared in Cortina d'Ampezzo in 1932 and Rösli Streiff and Otto Furrer became the first world champions in this discipline.
Andrzej Bachleda-Curuś was the first Pole to win the World Championships in 1970. He was third in the Val Gardena (Gröden) championship. He was even better at the subsequent championships held in Sankt Moritz in 1974, earning a silver medal.
Starting with the 2006/2007 winter season, the alpine combination was only played sporadically, displaced by supercombination. Bibliography
