Stanislaw Kardas


Stanisław Kardaś (born 27 September 1926 in Rokiciny Podhalanskie, died November 12, 2007) - Polish athlete hurdler.

He specialized in running for 110 m hurdles, although he also started sprinting and other hurdles. He was twice the champion of Poland at 110 m hurdles in 1951 and 1954. In the same competition he won silver medals (1952 and 1953) and bronze (1955). He was also the vice-champion of Poland in the relay 4 × 100 m in 1951.

He was the 80 m hurdles champion of Poland for hurdles in 1955, vice-champion in 1956 and bronze medalist in 1954.

He was a record of Poland in the 200 m hurdles race. Eleven times in the athletics of Poland.

Life records:

He started in the military clubs of Lubliniec and Legia Warsaw. After completing his career he served in the People's Army of Poland, also worked as an academic teacher in the Warsaw AWF. In the People's Army of Poland he had a degree of colonel.
