Adam Kaźmierczyk


Adam Kaźmierczyk (born 26 September 1962) is a Polish historian. Head of the Department of Jewish History at the Department of Judaic Studies at the Jagiellonian University.

In 1987 he graduated from the Jagiellonian University. He was a scholarship recipient of the Foundation for Polish Science (1993). In 1993 he obtained a doctorate degree. The promoter of the dissertation was Józef Andrzej Gierowski.

In 2003 he became a habilitated doctor, on the basis of his dissertation: Jews in private property - in the light of the judicial and administrative practice of the magnates in the 16th-18th centuries. His research interests include modern times. It focuses on Jewish and legal issues. Contributor of the Polish Biographical Dictionary. Selected publications
