Edward Lazear
Edward Paul Lazear (born 1948) is an American economist, chief economic advisor to President George W. Bush, since 2006 as head of the Economic Advisory Team. Career
Edward Lazear graduated from the University of California with a degree in Economics in 1971. He earned a Ph.D. at Harvard University in 1974.
From 1985-1992 he lectured at the University of Chicago, later at Stanford University. He was in charge of economic policy at the Institute for the Study of Labor. He is a member of the Hoover Institution. As the chief economic advisor to George W. Bush, Lazear has become a member of the board of advisors of the President on tax reform.
