Gustav Kreindl
Gustav Kreindl (born July 21, 1903, May 27, 1947) is a Nazi criminal, member of the Mauthausen-Gusen concentration camp and SS-Unterscharführer.
An Austrian of the origin, he was a member of the Waffen-SS since 15 October 1944. From 1 April 1944 to 5 May 1945 he was serving in the hospital at Ebensee, the suburb of Mauthausen. He was co-responsible for the deaths of many people as a result of the terrible conditions in the hospital. He also abused infectious prisoners often.
Kreindl was convicted in the trial of Mauthausen-Gusen (US vs. Johann Altfuldisch and others) by the US Military Tribunal for the death penalty. The sentence was made by hanging in the Landsberg prison on May 27, 1947. Bibliography
