Stanisław Dunin-Wąsowicz
Stanislaw Wąsowicz-Dunin of the Łabędź coat of arms (born 1785 in Volhynia, died 1864 in Paris) - general of the brigade of the November Uprising.
The military service began in 1809 in the army of the Duchy of Warsaw. He served as a lieutenant in the war with Austria in 1809. He served in the 2nd Lancers Regiment and the 10th Hussar Regiment, and from 1811 in the Guards Regiment. As a lieutenant he was an adjutant of General Wincenty Krasiński.
During the Moscow campaign of 1812 attaché à la maison Napoleon. He accompanied him in the escape from Moscow and saved him many times from oppression. Captain of 1812, Colonel of 1814.
He had a Saxon and French campaign. In 1815, in the army of the Kingdom of Poland, he took his leave and settled on the farm.
During the November uprising he returned to service. The head of the personal staff of General Commander Gen. Jozef Chłopicki and General Michał Gedeon Radziwiłł. From April 1831 commander of the Riding Brigade in the Reserve Division. In May 1831 promoted to brigadier general.
After the capitulation of Warsaw he resigned and settled in Zator. Later he left for France, where he died. His corpse was brought to Poland and buried in the church. St. Wojciech and St. George in Zator. Bibliography
