Placental-site trophoblastic tumor (PSTT) - a rare form of gestational trophoblastic disease, histopathologically malignant neoplasms derived from placental cells.

The disease progresses without hCG. The tumor spreads through the infiltration and through the lymphatic vessels. It is much more resistant to chemotherapy than chorionic villus cancer.

Treatment consists of intensive chemotherapy with multiple regimens. It is estimated that 15% of deaths are fatal. Bibliography
